ODVA World Wide

What is the ODVA

The ODVA (Open Device Net Vendors Association) is a global organization formed in 1995 to support worldwide growth of DeviceNet technology by assisting vendors, distributors and end users through tools, training and compliance testing and marketing activities. ODVA operates globally with offices in Europe, North America and has affiliates in Japan, Korea, China, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

Association Objectives
To provide a non profit organisation to fairly and better represent the interests of all members in the implementation of open control technologies such as DeviceNet in New Zealand and;

To engage in all matters reasonable, incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above object.

The Purpose of the ODVA New Zealand/Australia User Group
The New Zealand/Australia User Group has been formed by companies in New Zealand wanting the activities of vendors and users of DeviceNet co-ordinated for this geographical region.

The concept of traditional competitors working together with users is new. Traditionally each company has had its own architecture and market, but now several companies have a joint interest in the same technology and their products can be both competing and complementary.

The User Group allows users of DeviceNet to participate in the development of the technology.
